Ace The Elective Biology WASSCE Paper 2013

Achieving an "A," a "B" or a  "C" on the WASSCE  depends on  where your final score falls on the WASSCE grade score range. Some people usually say that only "one mark "  could make the difference between achieving an "A" or a "B on any  WASSCE question paper." I totally agree with this.  So, ask yourself,  should  that one mark slip  by me?

Extra work is always needed to achieve the highest grade on the WASSCE Biology paper. This is because , the WASSCE Biology paper has the practicals, theory and multiple choice sections which are all aggregates of  ones final score. The practical section  is normally taken on a separate day, while the other sections (theory and multiple answer sections) are taken on the same day. One  needs to score high in all sections in other to achieve a high grade or in other to reduce his or her chances of failing the Biology subject on the WASSCE.

How to Ace the Biology WASSCE 2013 paper:

1).  Try to understand every topic you read about . Ask questions in other to be sure. For example when I say: "nictitating membrane" and you don't understand what  it means. You should simply ask me what it means. I would explain it to you using a lizard as an example. If maybe you have not seen a lizard before. You could look for one physically or search for any video, picture or drawing of one. This is a form of long term learning .
2).  Read wide. Don't stop reading only were your textbook ends or only were your teacher stops. You need to read deeper on any chosen topic, because you never might know what new questions would pop-out on the exam day. WASSCE Biology papers  over the years has always been filled with recycled questions. However, the WAEC question setters  may turn wise to that flaw appreciably.  For example questions like: "what is the full meaning of BOD"  popped  out on the WASSCE Biology  theory section for the Nov/Dec 2011 exams for the first time ever.

3).  Learn to draw or write well  and present your work neatly. This could impress the examiner.
4). Learn to be quick in answering your questions. Remember, time waits for no one.
Note: Avoid making any mistakes when answering your questions quickly.
5). Take extra needed materials to the exam hall.  Example ; you should have like two pencils, one calculator, two erasers etc.
6). Know how to  answer WASSCE Biology questions. You should know how to present a work that says: "explain" etc.
7). Practice more.
8). Obey the general rules of the exam.
